Cemracs' concept was initiated in 1996 by Yvon Maday and Frédéric Coquel (UPMC). Cemracs 2007 will be the twelfth of the series, devoted this year to pre and post processing aspects in scientific computing. The goal of this event is to bring together scientifics from the academic and industrial communities and discuss these topics. Cemracs'07 consists of two consecutive events:
  • i) a one week summer school (July 23 - July 30)
  • ii) a five weeks research center (July 30 - August 31)

During the first week a classical summer school is proposed. It consists of several lectures given by leading scientists and related to the topics of the research projects. The remaining 5 weeks are dedicated to working on the research projects, after a daily morning seminar.


Centre d'été Mathématique de Recherche Avancée en Calcul Scientifique

Le Cemracs a été initié en 1996 par Yvon Maday et Frédéric Coquel (UPMC). Le Cemracs 2007 est donc le 12ème de la série. Cette année, le thème du Cemracs est consacré aux aspects de préparation ou d'exploitation des résultats en calcul scientifique. Comme d'habitude, il se déroulera en deux temps :
  • i) une école d'été (du 23 au 30 juillet)
  • ii) un centre de recherches (du 30 juillet au 31 août)

Pendant la première semaine, une école d'été d'été classique est proposée. Elle comporte une série de cours, donnés par des scientifiques reconnus du domaine, sur les thèmes des projets de recherche. Les 5 semaines suivantes sont consacrées à l'étude des projets de recherche, précédées d'un séminaire quotidien.
