The CIRM hosts the second period of the CEMRACS program devoted to advanced research in scientific computing. Internationally known scientists, chosen for their broad experience and achievements in the fields of interest, are invited to detail the way their latest contributions can be used in the applications.

The research program is based on the definition of about fifteen distinct subjects falling within the scope of the current theme A team made of (at least) two scientists, an experienced scientist-responsable of the scientific unrollement of one of the subject- together with young graduate students will be associated to every subject. The basic committement for these fellows is to be present at least for the whole period in Luminy, the presence of the graduate students for the summer school in Paris is also strongly recommended. Applications for these two profiles of scientists are requested using the electronic form . Other visiting scientists, interested in the ingoing research, can be associated to the program for a shorter period of time.

The international center for mathematical research (CIRM) is located in Luminy near Marseille. All facilities of the CIRMwill be available for the participants 24 hours per days and 7 days per weeks and in particular the library, working rooms... Accommodations on the CIRM site are provided to the participants (about 45 rooms plus 5 bed-sitters). See the CIRM web server for more informations http://www.cirm.univ-mrs.fr/

Two researchers (Stéphane Delpino and Pascal Havé) place about 30 workstations at the participants disposal. Various scientific softwares will be available. Missing ones may also be set up. A detailed description of the computers resources will be available on the web server.

A one-hour talk will be given each morning in the conference room. (We suggest that you volonteer and propose a seminar when you register using the electronic form.) The remaining part of the day is devoted to the research activity is small groups. More intensive conference program (i.e. workshops and mini courses) on specific subjects will be also organized (see Short courses ).

Funding and Submission of Projects:

Financial support for participants' stay at CIRM comes from public sources (French and European), as well as from industrial and institutional partners associated with specific projects.

Those interested in submitting a project should contact Albert Cohen (e-mail: cohen@ann.jussieu.fr, voice: (33) 1 44 27 71 95, fax: (33) 1 44 27 72 00).
