Le Prix Louis Bachelier est un prix biennal décerné conjointement par la London Mathematical Society, la Fondation Natixis pour la Recherche Quantitative et la Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles. Le Prix sera décerné à un mathématicien qui, au 1er janvier de l'année de son attribution, compte moins de 20 ans (équivalent temps plein) d'expérience en mathématiques au niveau post-doctoral, en tenant compte des interruptions éventuelles, ou qui, selon le Comité du Prix Bachelier, se trouve à un stade équivalent de sa carrière. Le Prix est limité aux résidents permanents en Europe (au sens geographique).
Le Prix sera décerné au lauréat pour sa contribution exceptionnelle à la modélisation mathématique dans les domaines de la finance, de l'assurance, de la gestion des risques et/ou de l'informatique scientifique appliquée à la finance et à l'assurance. Le lauréat du prix recevra 20 000 €, dont 5 000 £ pour organiser un atelier scientifique en Europe dans son domaine de recherche.
Les candidatures sont désormais ouvertes pour le Prix Louis Bachelier 2024. La date de clôture des candidatures est fixée au 31 janvier 2024. Les formulaires de nomination doivent être envoyés à l'adresse suivante : prizes@lms.ac.uk.

Louis Bachelier Prize 2024: call for nominations
The Louis Bachelier Prize is a biennial prize jointly awarded by the London Mathematical Society, the Natixis Foundation for Quantitative Research and the Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles. The Prize will be awarded to a mathematician who, on the 1st January of the year of its award, has fewer than 20 years (full time equivalent) of involvement in mathematics at postdoctoral level, allowing for breaks in continuity, or who in the opinion of the Bachelier Prize Committee is at an equivalent stage in their career. The Prize shall be restricted to permanent residents in Europe (in the geographic sense).
The Prize will be awarded to the winner for his/her exceptional contribution to mathematical modelling in finance, insurance, risk management and/or scientific computing applied to finance and insurance. The prize winner will receive €20,000 including £5,000 to organise a scientific workshop in Europe on their area of research interests.
Nominations are now open for the 2024 Louis Bachelier prize. The closing date for nominations is 31 January 2024. Nomination forms should be sent to prizes@lms.ac.uk.
