List of projects
After the one week summer school, the CEMRACS takes the form of a 5-weeks intensive research session, from July 28 to August 29. In 2014 the research projects will be focused on plasma-wave interactions, kinetic models and fluid models for plasmas.

Located in the gorgeous Calanques National Park, the CIRM is a lovely place fully dedicated to invited researchers, and the research sessions of the CEMRACS are renowned for their great atmosphere. During this time, each participant works in a team on a project proposed by an industrial or an academic partner. The teams are composed of young researchers assisted by one or more senior researchers. The commitment for the young researchers is to be present for the whole period of the research session. The commitment for the senior researchers is to ensure the management and scientific supervision of the project. Other visiting scientists, interested in the ongoing research, can be associated to the program for shorter periods and are, of course, welcome.

There are basically two ways to participate in the research session: you may either submit a project or apply to work on an existing project.

Submitting a project

If you want to submit a project, please send a short description (about one page) to the organizers. Please note that a financial support should be provided for the researchers involved in the project. At least two researchers should collaborate on each project on a full-time basis, which represents housing fees of about 2 x 4000 euros for the whole period (6 weeks). You are welcome to send an email to the organizers for more informations.

Working on an existing project

If you want to work on an existing project, please contact us. If you already know which project you are interested in, you are welcome to let us know. If you are a junior researcher and have no financial support for housing fees, you may apply for a Junior Grant: see here for further details . Please note that we do not support travel expenses.
