External Relations

The SMAI is a member of

— the European Mathematical Society (EMS),

— the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM),

— the European community on computational methods in applied sciences (ECCOMAS)

and has "privileged" relations with

— the SFDS (Société française de Statistique),
— the SMF (Société mathématique de France)

and with

— the SEMA (Sociedad Española de matemática aplicada),
— the SIMAI (Società Italiana di Matematica Applicata e Industriale),

with whom it sponsors the ICIAM Lagrange Prize.

Moreover, the SMAI is represented in the administration councils of the SFDS, the SMF, the CIMPA, the Institut Henri Poincaré, the CIRM and EDP Sciences.

The SMAI has signed reciprocity agreements with the following associations and societies :

et avec l’UPS.
These agreements allow in particular for reduced fee membership.

The SMAI has nominated a deputy "for mathematicians in emergency situations"
(see this list and in particular elements concerning the probable death of our colleague M. Ibni O.M. Saleh).

The CNRS is a partner of the SMAI in the organisation of the Rencontres Math-Industrie. Moreover, the MPPU Section of CNRS helps the SMAI in the publication of its journals and also supports other non recurrents activities of the society.

The SMAI publishes the journal RAIRO-RO in partnership with the ROADEF (Société française de recherche opérationnelle).

The SMAI office is hosted by the Institut Henri Poincaré.
