(English version below) Prix Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh 2026 Proclamation des résultats Christophe Biernacki, président de la Société Française de Statistique (SFDS), Samir Adly, président de la Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles (SMAI), Isabelle Gallagher, présidente de la Société Mathématique de France (SMF), ont le plaisir d'annoncer que les prix Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh 2026 sont décernés à Hughes DEFO & Franck TCHINDA Le prix Ibni a été créé en 2009 à la mémoire d'Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, mathématicien et homme politique tchadien, afin de poursuivre son engagement pour une formation de qualité des jeunes mathématiciens africains. Le prix Ibni est décerné par un comité scientifique mis en place conjointement par nos sociétés savantes et le CIMPA, Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées. Une ou deux personnes sont lauréates tous les deux ans. Les fonds nécessaires font l'objet d'une souscription. Le prix Ibni 2026 bénéficie aussi du soutien du CIMPA, de l'association AFRIMath, de l'Institut Denis Poisson, du Centre Henri Lebesgue et du Ghent Analysis & PDE Center. Il est actuellement Lecteur à temps partiel à l'Université de Yaoundé I. Franck TCHINDA est camerounais. Il a fait ses études jusqu'au master à l'Université de Ngaoundere, puis son doctorat à l'Université de Maroua. Il a soutenu en mai 2025 une thèse intitulée On Two-Scale Convergence and Homogenization of Partial Differential Equations in Orlicz Setting. Il est actuellement Maître-Assistant à l'Université de Bertoua au Cameroun. =========================================================== Et la version en anglais IBNI Oumar Mahamat'Prize 2026 Announcement of the results Christophe Biernacki, President of SFdS (Société Française de Statistique), Samir Adly, President of SMAI (Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles), Isabelle Gallagher, President of SMF (Société Mathématique de France), are pleased to announce that the Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh Prizes 2026 have been awarded to Hughes DEFO & Franck TCHINDA The Ibni Prize was launched in 2009 to honor the memory of Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, a Chadian mathematician and politician, in order to perpetuate his commitment to deliver a high quality training to young African mathematicians. The Ibni Prize is awarded by a scientific committee set up jointly by our learned societies and CIMPA, the International Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics. One or two candidates are awarded every second year. Individual funds are raised by a subscription. The Ibni Prize 2026 is also supported by the CIMPA, the research network AFRIMath, the Institute Denis Poisson, the Center Henri Lebesgue, and the Ghent Analysis & PDE Center.
