We are very pleased to announce the 2-day workshop on Applied Mathematics,
''Le Monde des Mathématiques Industrielles” (MOMI2017),
which will be held on 27 and 28 February 2017 in amphi Kahn, Inria Sophia Antipolis-Mediteranée
and will be concluding the current chapter of PhD Seminars: Applied Mathematics, Computation and Simulation.
The primary goal of MOMI is to encourage young researchers to discover the link between the industrial world and applied mathematics,
and familiarize themselves with such concepts.Two keynote speakers are invited to provide insight into the aforementioned subjects
and representatives from local industries will present their experiences on the "real world" mathematical problems that they deal with.
MOMI2017 is supported by Inria and financed by the Société des Mathématiques Appliquées (SMAI), as a BOUge tes Maths (BOUM) project,
by the Agence pour les Mathématiques en Interaction avec l’Entreprise et la Société (AMIES),
whithin the context of Investissement d’Avenir (IA) projects (projets “Laboratoires d’excellence”),
and by the Université Côte d’Azur, whithin the context of the “Joint, Excellend and Dynamic Initiative” (JEDI) projects.

Nous sommes actuellement très heureux de pouvoir vous annoncer la réalisation prochaine d’un atelier de deux journées consécutives sur les mathématiques appliquées,intitulé «Le Monde des Mathématiques Industrielles» (MOMI2017).
L’atelier en question viendra conclure l’approche du chapitre (en élaboration depuis Septembre 2016) « Mathématiques appliquées, calcul et simulation ».
Le but de MOMI2017 sera de permettre aux jeunes chercheurs tant de découvrir le lien entre le monde industriel et les mathématiques appliquées que de se familiariser avec ce genre d’approches.
Dans ce sens, nous sommes honores d’accueillir parmi les personnes invitées à intervenir, les professeurs Marc LAVIELLE et Leo LIBERTI, qui s’efforceront de nous donner des mini cours d’initiation sur le sujet en question.
D’autre part, un certain nombre d’industriels et d’entrepreneurs locaux seront en mesure de nous présenter leur propre point de vue ainsi que de nous faire état des problèmes mathématiques qu’ils sont amenés à traiter.
MOMI2017 est un projet soutenu par Inria and financé par la Société des Mathématiques Appliquées (SMAI), dans le cadre des projets BOUge tes Maths (BOUM),
